Job Purpose

 

My client is a global business with 40 years experience specializing in the manufacture of forensic science equipment.

Based in South Worcestershire and within easy access of Cheltenham/Gloucester, Stratford/Coventry, and Worcester, they have a reputation for innovation and providing high-quality products to the most discerning customers and have seen continued growth in the demand for their products.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support to international customers, agents and distributors.
  • Undertaking service/installation field visits, including overseas travel
  • Coordination of in-house repairs.
  • Assisting with the testing and upkeep of demo equipment.
  • Support with the delivery of service training programs to Distributors.
  • Creating and developing service support materials such as recommended parts tooling and calibration routines.
  • Upkeep of the customer support loan equipment and PC archive.

 

Experience/qualifications: 

  • HNC and/or qualifying experience in Electronic Engineering.
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous technical support experience an advantage.
  • IT qualification preferable.

 

You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate and influence effectively internally and externally. An ability to work under pressure to often tight deadlines will be expected and the role also includes regular travel including worldwide travel
