A Forensic and Analytical Science graduate from Sheffield Hallam University has received a cheque for £250 from Foster+Freeman after being named ‘Best Overall Performer’ by the university’s Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.

Prize winner Kayleigh Scotcher first developed an interest in forensics after taking part in a year 6 summer school that included forensic themed activities such as ‘Who stole the Cookie’.

Upon receiving the award, Kayleigh was quick to praise the support and encouragement of the teaching staff at Sheffield Hallam.

“This award is a huge privilege as it feels like years of hard work have paid off and it has motivated me to continue to work hard towards my career goals! I couldn't have done it without the support of Sheffield Hallam University and I am so grateful to all of the staff”

The annual award and prize were presented on behalf of Foster+Freeman by Yvonne Turner.
