A new service for scene-of-crime shoe prints From an unidentified scene-of-crime shoe print to detailed footwear information in one simple step

crimeshoe.com

A new internet service for identifying scene-of-crime shoe prints

www.crimeshoe.com provides rapid access to Foster & Freeman's extensive footwear reference collection for the identification of scene-of-crime shoe prints. Scanned images are simply uploaded to the website for processing by our team of researchers.

Successful search results are e-mailed back and include several pictorial images of the shoe, to aid visual identification, plus the manufacturer, model and date of introduction. As the same sole unit is often fitted to a range of shoes by a manufacturer and even used by other manufacturers, search results will include details of all known shoes held on the database.

Our database currently contains over 13,000 footwear records and is constantly updated each season. The information collected is added to the database before manufacturers release their new models on to the market, ensuring that shoe prints left by criminals wearing the latest fashions are still identifiable.

FEATURES

  • A comprehensive database that currently contains over 13,000 records
  • New season’s models added at the rate of over 100 per month
  • Search results include all shoes with the same sole pattern
  • Partial shoe print images can be 'jig-sawed' together for identification
