A desktop system for the scanning, processing, transfer and printing of fingerprint lifts

Foster & Freeman’s new Lift-Scan offers the fingerprint examiner high- resolution digital capture of fingerprint lifts with the facilities for image processing, print-outs and transfer to AFIS systems without the need for intermediate photography.

Lift-Scan is designed to improve efficiency by providing fingerprint experts with the facilities to process lifts quickly at their desk and to their preferred specification.

Lift-Scan operates on a standard PC or laptop through a high resolution miniature scanner and can process aluminium clear acetate lifts, aluminium black gel lifts, white gel lifts and black or white powder lifts.

• Output to printer at preset 1:1 ratio

• Image enhancement to increase image clarity without loss of detail

The system may be linked to an individual desktop printer or networked to a high speed departmental printer. Prints up to 8”x 6” may be produced.

Being compact and portable, Lift-Scan can also be used as a mobile system, to send images directly into an AFIS (Ident1) system over 3G/GPRS or wireless network.
