The long reach laboratory bench magnifier featuring LED illumination

The Crime-lite^® ML combines the versatility of multi-wavelength, high intensity LED illumination with the comfort of wide area bi-ocular magnification to provide an effective bench top examination tool for the forensic scientist.

Illumination includes an 8 x 5W array of high intensity, white light, LEDs with variable intensity control, for general examinations, and the choice of a 16 x 5W array of either blue, blue-green or green illumination, with corresponding removable viewing filter, for the location of fluorescent evidence such as fibres and body fluids. An array of violet LEDs may be fitted as an additional optional extra to extend the instruments sensitivity.

Attached to either a wall or bench, the articulated arm extends to over 1M and the 3.5 dioptre lens provides a nominal magnification of x1.8.

The head incorporates an air cooling fan to maintain comfort during prolonged operation, which may be fitted with a filter to reduce airborne contamination over the inspection area.
