Crime-lite^®, the ultra-light, ultra-bright forensic light source

Using advanced LED technology, Foster Freeman have created a range of compact, battery powered, high-intensity forensic light sources for locating evidence at the scene of a crime.

Crime-lites provide narrow bandwidth illumination in the following wavelengths:

• Violet Crime-lite^® with a wavelength peak of 425nm (10% bandwidth
  400-430nm) for detecting blood stains and gunshot residues.
• Blue Crime-lite^® with a wavelength peak of 450nm (10% bandwidth
  430-470nm) for general search for body fluids.
• Blue/Green Crime-lite^® with a wavelength peak of 485nm (10% bandwidth
  460-510nm) for treated superglue fingerprints.
• Green Crime-lite^® with a wavelength peak of 520nm (10% bandwidth
  500-550nm) for DFO treated fingerprints.

There is also a white light Crime-lite^® offering a wavelength range of 400- 700nm for general forensic searches.

Convenient, powerful and easy to use
Without cumbersome light guides or trailing power cables, Crime-lites are convenient to carry and use, offering maximum freedom of movement at the crime scene and, weighing only 490g, offer power-toweight ratios far in excess of any other light source currently available. Crime-lites also have the added advantage of producing an even, shadow-free beam that maximises the clarity of evidence.

Economic in-service costs and a full range of kits and accessories
Ruggedly constructed and with an LED lamp life expectancy of over 50,000 hours, Crime-lites reduce maintenance costs and provide a sensible alternative to traditional forensic light sources that use expensive replacement lamps. Crime-lites and accessories are available individually or as cased sets. Accessories include 'Schott' glass filter viewing goggles or plastic wrap-round glasses, spare battery packs, battery rechargers and a clip-on magnifier.
