TECHNOLOGY FOR FORENSIC LIGHT SOURCE EXAMINATION

 

UV Illumination (Crime-lite)

 

UV light within the wavelength range of 200-400nm can be used to stimulate fluorescence in a wide range of materials.

Body fluids, fibres, drug residues and some specialist fingerprint treatments can be seen to fluoresce brightly when subjected to UV illumination.
