DETECT & EXAMINE: Gunshot Residue (GSR)
As a gun is fired a plume of particles from the explosive primer, the propellant and the bullet or cartridge casing are deposited on the hands and clothing of the person holding the gun as well as anything within 1-2 meters of the weapon at the point of firing.
Visualisation Wavelengths: Blue, Blue/Green, Green illumination can be used to excite fluorescence in traces of GSR Infrared light can be used to visualise GSR against dark fabrics
